APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM:
The purpose of the Marion-Kokomo Joint
Apprentice program is to turn out (in a five year training program, which
consists of on-the-job experience and related instruction classes) experienced
inside electrical wireman to lend manpower for the jurisdiction's electrical

CRITERIA FOR APPRENTICESHIP APPLICANTS:
You have thirty (30) days from the date of your application to complete Step 1
by bringing, mailing in or for us to receive your documents (birth certificate,
transcripts etc.) to be eligible for Step II.
STEP I * Submit an application fee of
$25.00 to the Marion Kokomo JATC. * Applicant must live in
STEP II * As prescribed by the JATC, you
qualify for interview using the Electrical Trade's Aptitude Test developed and
validated by the American Institute for Research. This aptitude test must be
taken and will be scheduled by this office.
STEP III * Interviews: qualified
applicants are interviewed.
THE TOP CANDIDATES AFTER INTERVIEWS:
1. Must submit, pay for and pass a substance abuse screening (must receive a
negative result); we schedule.
2. Must have and pay for a physical exam, stating that the applicant is capable
of manual labor and is in good health; we schedule.
3. Take and pass a math review test.
The selection of apprentices into this
program is based on qualifications and oral interview. All applicants will be
afforded equal opportunity under the committee's standards without regards to
sex, race, creed, color, national origin or physical handicap (except to the
extent that such physical handicaps affect the applicant's qualifications for
the trade or craft). Regardless of the above need requirements, applications
will be accepted.
